The word ‘Chakra’ is Sanskrit for wheel or circle. Chakras are energy and consciousness centres in the human body. They are located from the bottom of the torso to the top of the head along the spine.

Each Chakra has its own place on the body and a specific colour. These are connected to an organ or nerve node. Gemstones, corresponding in colour with the Chakra, are often used to rebalance them and give new energy.
