Pink Amethyst is a pink variety of Amethyst, as the name implies. The beautiful pink colour originates from microscopic inclusions of the mineral Hematite, besides the ‘usual iron inclusions in Amethyst. Pink Amethyst is a fairly recent discovery, but the mineral immediately became very popular. It looks a bit like Rose quartz on the outside, but if you view the stone through a spectroscope it becomes obvious that the mineral is Pink Amethyst.v
